Dukungan Proses Sertifikasi Halal, IPB buat Halal Sciene Center

Wakil Rektor Bidang Riset dan Kerjasama Institut Pertanian Bogor Anas Miftah Fauzi mengungkapkan dukunganya terhadap proses sertifikasi halal di antaranya dengan membentuk Halal Science Center dan Pusat Kajian Pembangunan Syariah.

“IPB sangat berkomitmen penuh dalam membantu proses sertifikasi halal yang dilakukan oleh Lembaga Pengkajian Pangan Obat-obatan dan Kosmetika Majelis Ulama Indonesia (LPPOM MUI),” kata Anas sebagaimana dikutip Alumniipb.org pada laman Republika, Rabu, (24/02).

Ia menjelaskan dukungan dan komitmen tersebut diwujudkan melalui bantuan sumber daya manusia sebagai tenaga ahli dan auditor, fasilitas laboratorium, dan kantor. Menurut Anas, hal tersebut sesuai dalam Memorandum of Understanding antara Rektor IPB dengan Ketua Umum MUI saat awal berdirinya LPPOM MUI.

Terkait hal tersebut, Anas menjelaskan IPB menghasilkan lulusan yang kompeten dalam bidang autentikasi dan manajemen halal khususnya bidang syariah.

“Kami juga mengajarkan beberapa mata kuliah terkait dengan pangan halal dan manajemen halal,” tutur Anas.

Sebelumnya, Halal Science Center IPB bekerjasama dengan Direktorat Riset dan Inovasi (DRI) dan Direktorat Kajian Strategis dan Kebijakan Pertanian (KSKP) menggelar Seminar Nasional Halal 2016. Acara yang digelar pada 16 Februari 2016 tersebut mengusung tema ‘Autentikasi dan Manajemen Produk Halal’.

Ketua pelaksana acara Mala Nurilmala mengatakan seminar tersebut bertujuan menitikberatkan pada harmonisasi stakeholder untuk produk halal. Dari seminar tersebut, Mala mengharapkan kehalalan produk dan legalitas label makin terjamin.

“Agar masyarakat terutama umat Islam makin terlindungi dengan produk yang aman, layak, dan halal untuk dikonsumsi,” ungkap Mala. Ia juga menjelaskan, keutamaan seminar tersebut untuk memberikan pencerahan mengenai pentingnya mengenali produk yang hahal.

Tak hanya itu saja, program studi Ekonomi Syariah juga sengaja dibuta untuk mendukung komitmen IPB dalam melakukan proses sertifikasi halal tersebut.
